Welcome to Trinity UMC! Here, you'll find a place where every person is celebrated as a beloved child of God. We are a vibrant, open, and affirming congregation that embraces the beautiful diversity of God's creation. Whether you're single or partnered, young or experienced, questioning or confident in your faith – you belong here.
Our community celebrates the gifts, lives, and loving relationships of all people, including our LGBTQ+ siblings. We believe that God's love knows no bounds, and neither does our welcome. You'll find people from all walks of life worshiping, serving, and growing together in faith and fellowship.
We invite you to join us for worship on Sundays at 10 AM, where you can experience our inclusive community firsthand. Come as you are – your authentic self is welcome here. Whether you're seeking a spiritual home, exploring your faith, or simply looking for a loving community, there's a place for you at Trinity.
"For God so loved the world" means all of us, without exception. We look forward to inviting you into our family of faith!
Worship Details: Our Sanctuary is Accessible We strive to create a space where all people can safely worship with us, and we hope that's what you experience from the moment you pull up outside! There are two large accessible (blue) curbs to the side and in front of the sanctuary (one on Grim and one on Thorn). We have a ramp to the left of our sanctuary for anyone needing to avoid the stairs. All of our doorways in our downstairs spaces are wide enough for a power chair. We have removed pews so that anyone utilizing a wheelchair can sit next to friends and family throughout worship. Our bathrooms in Sharman Hall are single use, wide and spacious, and have been retrofitted with grab bars. We would love to know how we can make your time with us more comfortable! If you're planning on joining us and have further questions about accessibility, please contact Pastor Jen at: [email protected]
Our Messages are Thought Provoking and Progressive We can't guarantee that every Sunday will be a home run, or that you will agree with everything our Pastoral Team preaches on, but we strive to create sermons that will: pique your curiosity, help you to better understand scripture (why it was written, context, and translations, and how it is relevant to our world today), and ultimately, we hope our messages encourage you to seek deeper, healthier, more loving relationships with God, your neighbor, yourself, and all of creation.
Our Music is Beautifully Diverse! Each Sunday, our amazing Praise Team will lead the congregation in soul-nourishing contemporary praise music! Sprinkled throughout, our incredibly talented Director of Music, Luisa Ramós, will lead us in more traditional hymns on the piano and organ, the combination of which leads to an enhanced and gorgeously full worship experience!
We Love Children at Trinity UMC! Whether your child wants to stay in worship with you, or head out with their friends for some learning-through-play fun, we have several options!
Kids are always welcome to stay in worship with us! We believe the sound of children in worship is the sound of a healthy, growing church!
Babies and Toddlers- We have a "Prayground" area in our sanctuary for babies and toddlers with quiet toys and soft pillows so that parents of our littlest friends can relax and enjoy worship. We also have a nursery with a rocking chair, changing table, swing, and a television that broadcasts worship if you would need a little quiet time.
Elementary Age- We have age-appropriate bulletins and activity booklets so that children can follow along in worship. We also have caddies with a variety of quiet activities so that your older kids can play next to you while listening (they're always listening!). If your child would like to go out for some Sunday "learning-through-play" fun, they can head out to Sunday School with their friends! Everyone gathers in worship first, and after a fun and engaging Children's Message with Pastor Jen, kids are welcome to head out to Sunday School.
Coffee Chat- All areinvited to join us after worship for Coffee, treats, and conversation. We also understand the world isn't full of extroverts (back to the beautiful diversity!), and it's also perfectly acceptable to dip out after worship.
