Pastor Lea grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and is a lifelong United Methodist. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2004, was stationed at MCAS Miramar as a helicopter crew chief, and served three overseas deployments. After separating from active duty in 2009 as a Sergeant (E-5), Lea discerned a call to ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological School in 2017 and was ordained an Elder in the UMC in June 2023. Lea is dedicated to helping Christians to grow in their relationship with Christ and in living out their faith in the world around them. She believes that all people are created in the image of God and that all are welcome and belong in Christ's church. She lives in North Park with her husband Josh and their daughter, a hound mutt, and two ginger tabby cats. She loves good coffee, good books, and spending time outside. Email Pastor Lea |

Pastor Jennifer Rath Scott
Associate Pastor Jennifer is a native San Diegan and mother to two beautiful adult children, Autumn and Juno, who are the light of her life. Working with children, youth, and young adults is her passion! She believes we have all been made in God's image and have an open invitation to receive our Creator's unconditional love and grace. Her goal is to serve as God's hands and feet, finding tangible ways to share this hope-filled message both inside and outside of the church's four walls. Before focusing on ministering people of all ages, Jennifer taught in local private schools, owned a bakery, and ran a successful sewing business. She grew up in San Carlos immersed in music, and loves to spend time jamming with her kids, both of whom are talented musicians. Jennifer has been volunteering and working with the children, youth, and families within the UMC since 2004 and is currently also serving as the South District Youth Coordinator for the Cal-Pac Conference of the United Methodist Church.
