Pastor Jennifer Rath-Scott
Lead Pastor Jennifer is a proud San Diego native and devoted mom to two incredible adult children, Autumn and Juno, who bring endless joy to her life. As Lead Pastor, she loves bringing people together across all generations, believing that some of the most beautiful moments in church happen when different age groups connect and learn from each other. Jennifer's heart is especially drawn to welcoming those who have never felt like they had a place in church - she's committed to making sure everyone who walks through the doors feels like they truly belong and are celebrated for exactly who they are. At her core, Jennifer believes we're all beautifully made in God's image and invited into a relationship overflowing with unconditional love and grace. She sees her role as finding creative, meaningful ways to share this life-giving message, whether that's inside the church walls or out in the community where real life happens. Jennifer's path to ministry has been wonderfully winding - she's taught in local private schools, owned a bakery (yes, she can still whip up amazing treats!), and ran a thriving sewing business. Growing up in San Carlos surrounded by music, she still loves jamming with her kids, who are both talented musicians. Since 2004, she's been pouring her heart into serving families throughout the UMC, and she currently serves as South District Youth Coordinator for the Cal-Pac Conference, where she gets to strengthen connections between churches and help build vibrant intergenerational communities. |
